Dexter Residence

Dexter Residence

,

The project consisted of an addition to the living room and foyer. The existing house is sited integrally with its surroundings. With expansive views to an exterior pond and enclosed by old growth trees, the project emphasizes its position within the surrounding context by pushing outward into the landscape.

A corner window allows the transparency of the addition to wrap onto the front facade creating views from the entryway toward the pond. The extreme angle of the living space creates an exaggerated perspective from the garden playing off of the existing sloping roofs of the home.
